1 - Skiing in a family area

The Reposoir ski area offers ten slopes over six kilometers. Le Reposoir is ranked first among small resorts in Europe, fourth among small resorts in France, and second among small resorts in Haute-Savoie. 2 - Discover the heritage of Reposoir

A visit to the Chartreuse du Reposoir , founded in 1151 by Blessed John of Spain, is a must. Nestled in a wooded cirque, on the edge of a superb mountain lake, the former Chartreuse, now Carmel, is a listed Historic Monument. Founded in 1151 by Carthusian monks, it has been restored several times. Inside, the sisters offer a guided slideshow to discover their way of life.

The Chapel of Blessed John of Spain is linked to the history of the Charterhouse and the village. The Reposoir Church was designed by the same architect as Saint-Sigismond: Curé Rouge. Several farms are active in the village of Le Reposoir. This is an opportunity to take beautiful walks , see animals and taste cheese . To taste and buy farmhouse goat or cow cheeses, tommes, to see animals and learn more about cheese making, head to the Ferme d'en Haut, open all year round.

The Sommier d'Aval farm "Les Cabrettes" offers a guided tour of the goat farm and the goat-milk production process. From June 1st to September 15th, every Tuesday and Thursday, enjoy a guided tour of the mountain pasture and join the hundred or so goats.

6 - Orienteering course, Animal Hide and Seek

All year round, an orienteering game allows you to wander around to help Félicien, the little dog, who needs the help of children to find the animals hidden in the village. With the help of a game booklet and a map, discover the village of Le Reposoir in search of markers representing the animals that have escaped from the farm.

7 - Via Ferrata

7 km from Le Reposoir, the Col de la Colombière via ferrata , above Le Grand Bornand, takes you on a journey through the Jalouvre mountains. Some sections are easy, others more challenging, such as the Tour Passage or the Footbridges Passage.

9 - The Montarquis cave

Except in winter, a visit to the Montarquis Cave takes you through the wild valley and abundant wildlife. From the Col de la Colombière, you pass by the Chalets de la Colombière and the ruins of Montarquis. In this valley, you'll encounter more sheep and ibex than walkers, and it's the perfect spot for a picnic. After a two-hour walk from the Col de la Colombière, you'll discover the caves located at an altitude of nearly 2,000 meters.

10 - The Secret of the Reposoir

From May 25th to September 11th, discover the Secret of the Reposoir , an Explor Game, an adventure and exploration game. You will experience a unique adventure, between an orienteering course and an Escape Game in a natural environment. The trials and challenges are very real. You play as the companions of John of Spain and must fight the dark forces to uncover the village's secret.

  • 2-hour course, 3.2 km, ideal for ages 8 and up: 8 euros per person;
  • 3-hour, 4.5 km route: 12 euros per person.
